You will learn. (These are the main points only, there is so much more included)

  • A brief history of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy.

  • What is Hypnosis.

  • What is Hypnotherapy, why do we use it and how it works.

  • Myths and Misconceptions surrounding hypnosis.

  • What is Consciousness - and the ‘altered’ state of consciousness to which we refer.

  • How we learn.

  • Preferred Representational Systems.

  • Anchoring – what are anchors and how they can be changed.

  • Neuro Linguistic Programming – what is it and how it is used in hypnotherapy.

  • The Signs of Hypnosis – a ‘light hearted’ visual demonstration where possible.

  • Ab-reactions – what are they, how to recognise one and what to do in the event.

  • Client Acceptance – your choice of who to accept as a client, contra-indications and how to decline working with a client.

  • Voice Control - throughout the week you will receive ongoing coaching on how to use your voice to produce amazing results.

  • The Hypnotic State - you will learn how to firstly induce a state of hypnosis and how to deepen the experience.

  • Emergence from Hypnosis – how to correctly and safely emerge your client, grounding them to ensure they are happy and able to continue with their day.

  • Post Hypnotic Suggestions.

  • Scripts – there is a vast variety of induction, deepening, therapy suggestion and emergence scripts. You will understand how to use, adapt or write your own scripts and appreciate all of the different styles used

  • Therapy Suggestions – we cover in great detail the therapy content itself. Basically, as a hypnotherapist, there is little point in being able to put a client into a hypnotic state, if you then don’t know what to say to help them with their issues.

  • Client Consultation – how to ask questions to understand the best way to help your client. We also provide a weight-loss and a smoking cessation questionnaire for your convenience.

  • Client Consent – you will receive a copy of our own client consent form which you can adapt, should you wish to use it.

  • Body Language – how to understand non-verbal communication.

  • Rapport – building a professional & trusting working relationship with your client.

  • Transference and Counter Transference – this will be explained, including how to protect yourself.

  • Gaining Compliance.

  • Rapid Inductions – examples of rapid inductions and why they are used will be demonstrated throughout the course however, this is not something that all therapists are comfortable with doing, so for this reason we also offer a dedicated Rapid Induction Day for those who would like to incorporate this style of hypnosis into their work.

  • Non-Verbal Inductions – how to use this technique.

  • Confusion Technique.

  • Hypnotic Language and Embedded Commands.

  • Practical Experience – throughout the course you will receive plenty of practical experience. We have two ‘therapy rooms’ so you can experience real surroundings (not just a hotel room with an upright chair). When available,  some of our graduates come back and provide ‘a stranger’ for you to conduct a session with.

  • Develop Your Own Style – we do not expect you to be ‘a clone’ of us. Everyone is unique and so are your clients. We encourage you to be the best therapist that ‘you’ can be.

  • Code of Ethics – understanding and agreement to adhere to.

  • Self-Care – it is important to look after yourself! How to regulate your work-load and not ‘over-do it’, and also, who to turn to for some therapy yourself, we all need to relax and re-charge.

  • Additional Advice offered during the course and Other Services Available: include…

  • Record Keeping and GDPR Compliance information – basic advice and pitfalls to avoid.

  • Advertising advice – we also run a separate ‘Social Media’ instruction workshop for those who would find it beneficial.

  • Website Design / Facebook Page Design – Steve is also very knowledgeable in this field and offers separate one-2-one design days if you need help.

  • Accounting and Insurance – basic advice and pitfalls to avoid.

The above is not an exhaustive list of the things you will learn on the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma Course, there is so much more! If it is not listed and you would like to ensure it is covered, please simply contact us before booking onto a course, to ask if it is included. Alternatively, mention it during the course.

Please take a few moments to read our reviews. These are REAL reviews from REAL graduates of ours. They are not fabricated, not ‘our friends doing us a favour’ or ‘purchased reviews’ from external sources. All are totally and utterly genuine and you are even welcome to research or contact the authors.

We do not ask you to do ‘homework’ during the course. We realise that for some, this maybe the first time they have studied for a good number of years or they may return home to their busy family life each training day. We understand that you need time to rest and refresh, not worry about doing homework. We have designed our course to not need homework.

It is also worth mentioning that we do not ask you to conduct case-studies. In our opinion this is counter-productive. We believe that one should not be asked to conduct practice sessions outside of the safe, training environment before qualifying, and to do this, or to write about the event may produce unnecessary anxiety in some students. Instead, once qualified, we do ask that you keep in touch with us to keep us informed of your progress and benefit from our ongoing support. Basically, we just like to know how you are progressing.
