Why Hypnotherapy?

Why Hypnotherapy?

Unless you are trained in hypnotherapy or have experienced the benefits of it first hand, it’s possible you don’t know just how amazing and beneficial it can be. The medium of TV has provided us with many hours of entertaining ‘hypnosis’ mickey-taking stage shows, but true ‘hypno-therapy’ (hypnosis & therapy) is totally different, and an incredibly gentle, relaxing and life-altering process.

Every thought you have has a physical reaction in your body, affecting every one of your trillions of cells. How often do you give yourself the time to really relax the mind down and allow it to take a break, and fix some of the wrongs, the ill-effects of modern day living? I guess the answer is, you don’t? We don’t...

It takes a concerted effort to give ourselves the time we need and deserve, to be more mindful and unless you know how, I’d say let the hypnotherapist show you how. Hypnosis is designed to induce a relaxed and suggestible state of mind. Contrary to popular belief, you are always in control and can’t be hypnotised against your will.

Just 5 of the most effective uses of hypnotherapy are:

Stress reduction:

Hypnotherapy is one of the quickest and easiest ways to achieve a very deep relaxation. One that cannot be obtained just by taking a few minutes out of daily life to ‘chill-out’. It is a very effective way to enhance your mental health and well-being, leaving you feeling calmer, more positive and very refreshed, often energized. A hypnotherapist can add in some powerful suggestions that will allow you to take the good feelings away with you and use them whenever things get a little hairy!

Attitudes:

Hypnosis can help you change your attitudes, perceptions and behaviors to a situation, really any situation. It can be effective in treating a wide range of medical and psychological issues, easily and effectively. If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got! We know this, so using a hypnotherapist to make the changes required will let you’ll see your whole attitude changing for the better. New you? Absolutely!

Addiction and dependency:

This is where you find a safe and gentle environment to really change the thought processes and habitual behaviors of the chaotic mind. The often hurt and painful thoughts that push us to addiction and dependency can be shifted, helped and soothed. Hypnotherapy allows you to gently induce changes towards unhealthy habits and addictions without the pain and stress of withdrawal symptoms and the often-associated agitation.

Sleep:

The elixir of life? You certainly  crave it when you haven’t had enough of it! Lack of sleep interrupts normal daily function. It makes us hungry, angry, agitated, and depressed and so much more. So, once you experience a disrupted sleep pattern, it is easy to fall into the trap of assuming ‘that’s it, I never sleep’! This is so untrue when hypnotherapy intervenes, and you experience gentle, easy, regenerative sleep once more. Good bedtime routines may not be enough on their own to help you back into a normal routine, so dip into a relaxing hypnotherapy session and learn the simple sleep process again.

Depression:

Ugh, such an incredibly powerful feeling, often affecting the body with a feeling of illness as well as the mind. A feeling that often leaves us desperate, with no way out... When you cannot find the way, then it can be very rewarding to use hypnotherapy to adjust those overwhelming thoughts and emotions. The process of understanding why and then releasing those feelings can provide a quick and effective relief. Hypnotherapy supports someone with depression gently and provides useful triggers to create a new thought process, a new joy. It will be okay...
